Motifs no's16, 17, 18, and 19!!

We had an amzing Tatting Day in South Wales last Saturday, Jennifer Williams' class was playing with picots, the little green one is simple stacked (even) picots,Yellow one is graded picots, multi is Backward and foreward facing picots, Then came the white one,......Gathered picots. Caused a few strange words, and tied up fingers, but there was more to come!

Dropped picots!! Oh how difficult to do it wrongly on purpose!! I do it easily all the time, but on purpose? took a while to get in the rhythm. But she hadn't finished with us yet......

Double picots, make a long one, 3 ds, then pick up the long picot and tweak it to have two different lengths, Well we now relaxed for lunch, thinking we had got the worst done, and there was a motif with all the picots in it!

small picot, medium picot, gathered picot and graduated ones to boot.

And I haven't tried the Celtic knot picot yet! But I will master it before I go to class next week, so watch this space,....now that I have worked out how to put every photo on the blog, Goodness knows how many are floating around in the ether!!

Dolls house bits

Another of Ron's photos, A four inch girl, I used a cocktail umberella, cut dwn the spokes and tatted a motif using perfect quilter, it is quite effective.

This is a tablecloth, croched by my eldest daughter, using sewing cotton and a .7 crochet hook,it measures about 3" across, I have a tea-shop in my dolls house, Helen made five of these for me!

My dolls house lady

Here is one of my husbands clever photos, two images of the same thing on one picture. This is what I used the bookmark for. I used some sewing cotton in yellow and made splitrings, 2,p,2,p 2/2,p,2,p,2 close for the dress edging. I tatted a jabot with white sewing cotton(I needed to cover a few stitches on her front.

I forgot to title my last post as motifs 14 and 15! I am busy doing more, and working on my trash bag! I am drying out at the moment after my holiday in the Lake District of England. It was a rather blustery week. But at least we didn't get the floods that they had in Yorkshire. Some eople may not be able to use their homes for months to come.

Whoops not sure what I did here! this is the "scarf" that I made for one of my dolls house dolls, It is in black size 80, and is a pattern called midnight from Mary Koniors book. All I need now is inspiration for something to go on her head. I have been away for a while, holidays and so forth, so am now ready to settle to doing the rest of my motifs!

This is another of my celtic motifs, the centre is done twice placed back to back and then the outside row is tatted, the bangle is tatted, and then the loop is done in "sets" using 5 sts at a time. the motif is strung in the centre with a large bead and a few small ones, I have used Altin Basak no 50. the idea to put in the bangle with invisible thread is Jennifer Williams'
